Session Description: Libraries invest a great deal into their ERM systems, and the end user experience depends upon publisher data being correctly represented within them. However, publishers may lack insight into what these systems do, how they are evolving to address emerging technologies and business models, and how to partner with the systems’ vendors to in order to best serve their mutual customers. In this session, we will provide an overview of ERM system functionality, then explore the opportunities presented by the new open source FOLIO ERM. Finally, we will discuss how publishers and ERM vendors can work together to ensure that customer libraries get the best return-on-investment on both their ERM systems and licensed content.
